Minutes of the December 08, 2008 regular meeting were read and accepted.
Motion by Miller to suspend the rules. Seconded by Childs. Motion carried.
Motion by Wobler to adopt ORDINANCE 2008-13; AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION, BONDS AND BENEFITS OF OFFICERS, CLERKS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PAYNE, PAULDING COUNTY, OHIO, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2008-8 AND ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH, WITH RESPECT TO THE SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Seconded by Miller. Motion carried.
Zoning Inspector Sinn gave his monthly report to council.
Fire Chief Krouse presented to council a firefighter application for Bradley Bohland.
Motion by Childs to make $100 donation to the Paulding County Economic Development for 2009. Seconded by Speice. Motion carried.
Motion by Childs to appoint Jim Sponseller as the 2009 Village Solicitor. Seconded by Miller. Motion carried.
Motion by Childs to nominate Ron Schoenauer as Council President.
Motion by Speice to nominate Bill Childs as Council President. Bill Childs was elected Council President.
Motion by Schoenauer to pay the bills. Seconded by Childs. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn by Schoenauer. Seconded by Speice. Motion carried.
